A very great number of the bowls and some of the vases of the firstcity had, on the inner side of the rim, an incised linear ornamentation,which was filled up with white chalk, so as to strike the eye. To thisclass of bowls belong the fragments Nos. 28 and 29, the ornamentationof which appears to have been borrowed from weaving patterns. Thefragment No. 31 is the rim of a shallow basin with a perforated others have an incised linear ornamentation on the outside of therim, like Nos. 30, 32, 33, and 34, of which that on No. 32 appears also tobe a textile pattern.
