Jeremy CorbynÕs wife made a rare appearance on the campaign trail with him today (Thurs) as they visited a school in Cambridgeshire. The Labour leader was joined by his wife, Laura Alvarez, at Fulbridge Academy in Peterborough this morning. Laura, who usually keeps a low profile, helped her husband out during a question and answer session with a class of children, who quizzed the politician on a variety of subjects. She joined him on a tour of the school and later helped him choose which questions to answer. Corbyn met his third wife in 1999 when the two were introduced by Labour MP Tony Benn. Laura is a former human rights lawyer and they married in her native Mexico in 2012. She is now an importer of fair trade coffee beans.
