Rousham is now the residence ofLady Cottrell Dormer. The situation is extremelyfine ; and the grounds, which were laid out by Kent,during the life-time of General Dormer, afford avariety of picturesque and pleasant views. The mansion was erected by the Dormers in thereign of Queen Elizabeth, but a few alterations weremade at subsequent periods. Its present aspect willbe fully comprehended from the annexed view, whichhas been executed from a drawing obligingly com-municated by Mr.
