Two-manual cembalo. The magnificent, two-manual Cembalo from the workshop of Christian Zell dates from a time when the Hamburg music life was in high flowering. The Instruments Zells are characterized by sound richness and magnificent artistic design. The paint paintings with representations from the ancient mythology as well as the recommended chinoiseries make the musical instruments at the same time to precious pieces of furniture, with which wealthy Hamburg music lovers could represent their culture loyalty. Only three of the valuable instruments Christian Zells are still preserved today.
