Atthe time of my visit he was seized with a severe rigor, during which thetemperature rose to io52 Fahr. On gth March he spat up some muco- purulent matter mixed withblood. The base of the neck was very hard and brawny, and the skinhad a red, erythematous appearance. , 736 Diseases of the Heart. On loth March he died. Y\ was made twenty-seven hours after death.
