Reading,Berkshire Monday 16th October 2017 A man who staged a protest in a Tesco supermarket has been fined £20 for the 21 hour sit-in. Adama Jammeh appeared at Reading Magistrates' Court on Saturday, October 14, where he admitted one charge of aggravated trespass, after the incident on Friday, October 13. Tesco has now issued a letter to him promising the company will review what happened and sit down with Mr Jammeh and his wife Dawn with the aim of resolving the situation. The letter also states the company will review the behaviour of members of staff at the store towards him while he was staging his protest. No charges were ever brought against him. His aim was to clear his name as well as demanding an apology from the supermarket giant. Fed up of not getting anywhere after six months, he decided to take a more dramatic approach and climbed into the rafters of the supermarket above the cash registers. He was finding it impossible to get another job as he was constantly having to explain why he left his previous one.
