Abraham Bloemaert. Juno. 1605–1615. Holland. Etching, on ivory laid paper Among the most famous Dutch mannerist artists of the late 16th and early 17th centuries, Bloemaert relied on prints, primarily by other artists, to popularize his designs. This is the only print that he appears to have made himself, and it reflects the fluid line characteristic of his drawings. It was intended to be part of a series that was never completed.
