The quaint and picturesque lane of Barrington Row, better known as Winkle Street, in the pretty village of Calbourne on the Isle of Wight. The lane has a stream running beside it and it is said that the name of the village was derived from the name of the stream (Caul-bourne). There are many suggestions as to why the lane is known as Winkel Street, but officially it is called Barrington Row.
