Osteo-fibroma-ta, sarcomata, enchondromata, andcarcinomata connected with the pelvicbones constitute tumors of rare oc-currence. They usually spring from the sacrum or from the symphy-sis,! and are of various dimensions. Some of them almost complete-ly occlude the parturient canal, and may constitute formidable ob-structions to delivery. In this connection may be mentioned, as of rare occurrence, anchy-losis of the coccyx, a condition which materially shortens the antero-posterior diameter of the Fig. 232.—Osseous tumors filling pelviccavity.
