A miquelet-lock pistol,Juan Andrès Gabiola,Eibar circa 1800. Two-stage barrel,octagonal then round after a cut girdle with cannon muzzle and smooth bore in 16 mm calibre. Gold-lined manufacturer's mark "Bustindui" at the breech inbetween floral marks and inlays. Sparsely cut miquelet lock,on the lockplate also gold-lined manufacturer's mark "Gabiola". Carved walnut stock with iron furniture,the trigger guard also with manufacturer's mark. Wooden ramrod with iron tip. Length 38 cm. Cf.
