Cancer of the chorion. Light micrograph of a section through a sarcoma of the chorion, a malignant (cancerous) tumour of the membrane (chorion) that surrounds a developing embryo. The chorion connects to maternal tissue to form the placenta. Treatment is with surgical removal of the tumour, often combined with chemotherapy or radiotherapy.
