Monday Evening Dancing members of the Monday Evening DancingClass held their first meeting of this season inGolden Gate Hall last Monday night. The deco-rations were confined to groups of palms on thestage where the musicians were stationed. Almostall of the members were present and danced onthe canvased floor until midnight. The affair wasa pleasant one in every particular. The Fnday Night Friday Night Club held its first assembly ofthis season at Odd Fellows Hall on Friday evening,and it was an eminent success. The hall was beau-. tifully decorated with colored draperies, tropicalplants, and flowers, and appeared more than usuallyattractive. The floor was newly canvased. All ofthe debutantes of the season were present, and thedisplay of modish gowns was most elaborate. Therewas general dancing all the evening until about twooclock, with an intermission at midnight, when adelicious supper was served under Ludwigs direc-tion. The next meeting will be a cotillion, and itwill be held on Friday evening, December 20th. The Greenwood Dinner-Party. Mr. Frederick A. Greenwood gave an elaboratedinner-party last Wednesday evening in the RedRoom at the Bohemian Club. In the centre ofthe table was an electric fountain surrounded byJacqueminot roses and ferns, which produced apretty effect. A string orchestra played during theservice of the menu, and the evening was verypleasantly passed. Mr. Greenwoods guests com-prised : Mrs. Frederick H. Green, Miss Julia Crocker, MissDaisy Van Ness.
