Cadet Kage Carmona, 16, who attends the California National Guard's Grizzly Youth ChalleNGe Academy, completed 832 sit-ups to lead the California Cadet Corps athletic competition Saturday before lunch. Upon hearing someone had bested his total, Carmona returned to the mat less than two hours later to perform 1,309 more sit-ups and take the title!
