PACIFIC OCEAN (July 20, 2017) San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship USS Anchorage (LPD 23) transits the Pacific Ocean during Talisman Saber 2017. As part of the 3rd Fleet Forward construct, Vice Adm. Nora Tyson, commander of 3rd Fleet, and staff are embarked on Anchorage in support of the exercise. Talisman Saber is a biennial exercise designed to improve the interoperability between Australian and forces.
