The Neil Gunn Memorial above Dingwall. Neil Gunn was an author from Caithness, born in 1891, but who moved to Strath Peffer in later life, a location in which most of his writing was done. He loved walking from his home in the strath up onto the brae and on to a chambered cairn beyond this point. It seemed a fitting place to pause for a moment today whilst out on my travels.
