A breastplate of globose form for a man-at-arms, Nuremberg, circa 1500/1510 Distinctly curved breastplate with angular flanges struck outwards. The upper edge with double perforation, Nuremberg proof mark struck on the right. Fitted with original skirt of three lames, the lower one with roped edge. Original iron buckles on the shoulders. Height 51 cm. Rare, early breastplate for a man-at-arms in excellent original condition.
