For Christmas - a Dog-gone Life Belt. "Feets," A plain pooch but a right good swimmer, seems irked by the life belt which his Coast Guard Shipmates have wished on him as a Christmas gift. The dog gladly would have settled for a big ham bone. "Feets" is a mascot aboard a Coast Guard-manned ship moving into the Southwest Pacific with cargo including recreational and sports equipment for Coast Guardsmen at advanced bases. The gifts were promoted by the Coast Guard Military Morale Division.
