They have become parents of threechildren, one son and two daughters: Walter, who has passed away; and Leona andRosella, both at home. In politics Mr. Bandle has maintained an independent course, voting for menand measures rather than for party. He has served as a member of the schoolboard and as road boss and is ever willing to do his part in behalf of public prog-ress and improvement. Fraternally he is connected with Alta Vista Lodge, MR. While he never had the advantage offered byhigher education, he has been a broad reader and is today one of the well informedmen of Howard township who recognizes the opportunities not only for his ownadvancement, but for the promotion of public welfare and at all times gives hisaid and support to movements that are intended to upbuild the community, com-monwealth or country.
