The chancel is lofty, of which there arc two others atthe east end ; stalls formerly existed, fitted with seats for somereligious fraternity, wdiile the church also contained chapels de-dicated to Saints James, I^-Iargaret the Virgin, and Thouias theMartyr; the chancel of St. George, and Greens chantry; abrotherhood also existed for the procession of St George, onwhich solemnity, his figure was carried with great pomp
