The Fishermen's Bastion, a famous monument in the old Buda area of Budapest

The Fishermen's Bastion occupies the site of Buda's old defensive walls and a medieval Square where fish was once sold on Castle Hill. It doesn't actually serve any defensive purpose but was designed as a neo-romanesque monument to the Guild of Fishermen by Frigyes Schulek in 1895. It boasts amazing views of the Danube and PEst.
