Rejo racing cars was formed by a partnership of Rod Easting and John Osbourne, the name being an acronym of their two names. Rod Easting was one of the leading lights alongside Eric Broadley (Lola) and Len Terry (Lotus/Terrier).and was offered a position on the Lotus design team by Colin Chapman, but decline preferring to continue his racing car as an hobby. The first car (Mark 1) was built in 1958 by the duo with the help of brothers Ron and Dave Ingliss, The followed in 1959, the first with all enclosing body and was used as a road and race car, with a second car () to a different style for the Ingliss brothers which was written off. Two more MKIII’s were built one for the brothers a second for Rod Eastling. The Inglis brother’s car had a fully independent rear end using an Elva diff casing and A35 internals. Both cars competed competitively during the 1960 and 61 seasons and scored wins in the 1172 Championship. At the end of the season the decision was made to thicken the body shell and the body sections were offered for sale at £55 a pair plus £ for a windscreen. Six sets were sold, one of them to the USA. The Mark IV was offered in kit form powered by a Coventry Climax FWA and Gemini independent rear end rather than the hese were MKIII’s slightly modified to accommodate Appendix C; with a spare wheel carrier in the rear and opening doors that would allow the regulation block of wood to pass through.
