Avamys allergic rhinitis nasal spray. This nasal spray contains the active ingredient fluticasone furoate, a synthetic corticosteroid. Corticosteroids inhibit the production of prostaglandins, the chemicals that cause inflammation and assist in the sending of pain signals to the brain. Avamys is used to treat allergic rhinitis, the inflammation of the lining of the nasal cavity, which causes a runny nose, sneezing and watering eyes.
