Travis, a motor transport operator with Combat Logistics Regiment 27, 2d Marine Logistics Group, poses for a photo in Vaernes, Norway, Mar. 13, 2022. “Being humble and kind are the principles that I learned to live on,” said Travis, a Newton, native. While he was temporarily assigned to the Landing Force Support Party, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Travis has been supporting Exercise Cold Response 2022 since January with logistical movements of vehicles and equipment critical for the start of the exercise. During a pause in operations he attended a Lance Corporal Seminar and was chosen by his peers as the Gung Ho for his class. His leaders said Travis has a strong work ethic and are proud of him and all the other Marines that helped support Cold Response. Exercise Cold Response '22 is a biennial Norwegian national readiness and defense exercise that takes place across Norway, with participation from each of its military services, as well as from 26 additional North Atlantic Treaty Organization allied nations and regional partners.
