These photographs are from the finish of the main race which was an exciting finish with just seconds between competitors at times. The Lancelin Ocean Classic dates back to 1986 when a handful of enthusiastic windsurfers met together for a downwind race from Ledge Point to Lancelin. Since this moment on the Lancelin Ocean Classic was born, now one of the best know windsurfing and water sport races in the world, it attracts competitors from all round the globe. Taking place on one of Western Australia’s most beautiful coastal pockets, the Lancelin Ocean Classic also features a Windsurfing and Kitesurfing wave freestyle event where competitors hit the waves to show off their skills and tricks!
