They are castin plain round-bars with an eye atthe top, substantially as has beenshown in Figure 170. When theyare very heavy, or the space for ^^ the sash-boxes is restricted, lead weights are used, as they occupy less space than are usually made to order, and can behad in any desired shape, but are manufac-tured in regular weights by a few of the lead-works.
