SRD Technical staff at the Mount Martha Research Station demonstrating the newly-devised "Semut Tent Fly". Made of cotton balloon cloth treated to be water proof and rotproof, the tent fly was just part of the system. It also included a portable lightweight insect net and an angled sleeping platform which not only kept the occupant of the tent largely out of the mud and muck, but also allowed him to spring into action far more quickly than from inside the fully enclosed jungle hammocks which were stadard issue to SRD Operatives.
