Crowning the arch above the mirror is as charming a group as everassisted at a ladys toilet. Two little cupids are nestled there, one standinglip and holding a lighted torch in his hand; while the other, crouched at hisfeet, is looking down as if in admiration at the fair consultor of the idea conveyed by the attitude and expression of these little loves isexceedingly charming. No one, no matter how homely, can look into themirror without being conscious that here at least are two who are struck withadmiration of her charms. All of these groups just described are, like those first mentioned, done insilver and finished by the gravers tool. In the same kind of work are thepair of winged cupids who seem to have been playing hide-and-seek, and tohave
