Gibson's Improved Self-Acting Wagon Brake
With any vehicle, speed can be an issue, when one needs to stop. Staying motionless is also a problem. This invention allows a wagon to remain still while it is being loaded or unloaded. Commercial deliveries of the 1880's were all done by horse drawn wagon, a brake was essential.
