Arnold Schoenberg or Schönberg (1874 – 1951). Austrian composer, associated with the expressionist movement in German poetry and art, and founder of the Second Viennese School. One of the pioneers of aetonality, he created the serial system of composition. The Nazis branded his art as degenerate.
