The teachers college quarterly [serial] . eeting and many kindnesses of the teachersmade me feel at home right away and more enthusiastic than before. This school is doing a work of which every North Carolinian shouldbe proud. It is, as its name implies, a Teachers Training School, and thosewho are preparing for this most important work, teaching the childrenof our State, are shown the most approved methods, both by preceptand example. Each department of the school is carrying on its regular work un-der most efficient instructors. After being taught what to teach andhow to teach it, the classes are taken to the Model School, where theyare shown the work in actual operation, with all of its difficulties andperplexities. The courses are so thorough and practical, everyone seems filledwith such kindness, sympathy and helpfulness that all who are so for-tunate as to be members of this institution will surely carry away withthem help and inspiration that will smooth many rough places in lifespathway.
