Starting from the pulp-surface with a diameter of20-26 /i, the dentinal tubules pass in a slightly wavy and spiralcourse through the dentine, to terminate in irregular clefts, theinterglobular spaces, situated at the juncture of the dentine withthe enamel or the cementum. THE DIGESTIVE TRACT. H7 The tubules give off numerous secondary canals along their course,by which means the adjacent tubules communicate ; on approachingthe enamel or the cement the tubules undergo repeated division, the resulting smaller secondary channels corresponding in theirgeneral direction with the larger canals.
