Hepatocyte with nuclear inclusion bodies, TEM
Transmission electron micrograph (TEM) of a hepatocyte showing nuclear inclusions. They are a common finding in hepatocytes from patients with liver disease, especially in diabetes mellitus and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. In the cytoplasm, the rough endoplasmic reticulum also appears distended.
