Nettuno, the Field of Remembrance (Campo della Memoria) is the X MAS War Cemetery and Memorial. 72 Italian soldiers are buried in the cemetery, fallen in 1944 on the front of the landing at Anzio against allied forces. The cemetery is dedicated to the Marò of the Barbarigo Battalion who fought with the army of the Italian Social Republic (RSI) after the armistice of September 8, 1943.
