Like his brotherLawrence, Mr. John Barr had a bent for the lxK)k line, and car-ried on his business with enterprise in Springfield, Ohio. Herehe also early became an office bearer in the First PresbyterianChurch, and was on his way to great usefulness when failinghealth resulted in his death at ]\[innoapolis, ]\Iinn., on September6, 1892, in his forty-fifth year. A Springfield paper, in its no-tice of his death, fittingly said, Mr. Barr was one of Spring-fields most honored and respected citizens. Mrs. John S.
