This is a 1933 Sentinel DG6, no 8803, (reg: YD 7012). The DG6 (Double-Geared, six-wheeled) wagon was introduced in 1927 by The Sentinel Waggon Works Ltd. This one currently is owned in South Yorkshire. The company began life as Alley and MacLellan in 1874, based in Glasgow, but in 1905 they began producing steam road vehicles. In 1914 they prefabricated a modular factory that they erected on a new site at Shrewsbury in just 9 months, and moved the company there in 1915. The Sentinel Waggon Works Ltd was formed at this new site in 1918. The DG6 (Double-Geared, six-wheeled) wagon was introduced in 1927. The last steam wagon to be produced at Shrewsbury, left the works in June 1951. Sentinel went on to produce steam locos, diesel lorries and finally diesel locos eventually being taken over by Rolls Royce in 1958.
