Plaza Habana Vieja (Havana's old town) in Cubas, is Havana’s most architecturally colourful styled plaza with an unnamed water fountain in the middle. Around the plaza are bars, restaurants and cafes. The Plaza (square) was created in 1559 as a marketplace. In the 1930’s it was turned into an underground car park which it remained until the 1980s when it underwent a massive restoration programme after it was declared a UNESCO world heritage site.
