GULF (Nov. 16, 2016) Petty Officer 2nd Class Caleb Metz, assigned to the guided-missile destroyer USS Nitze (DDG 94), directs an MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopter assigned to the Swamp Foxes of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 74. Metz serves onboard Nitze as a boatswain's mate and is responsible for ship preservation, maintenance and deck evolutions. Nitze, deployed as part of the Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group, is supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the 5th Fleet area of operations.
