Itis obvious that, considering the presence of chlorophyll, the latter ( 123 ) contention cannot be sustained. But Corti also experimented withthe cells in vacuo. A great interest attaches to this subject, viewedin the light of Pasteurs famous classification of aerobic andanaerobic organisms.
