Historic Palmer House Hotel and Café in Sauk Centre, Minnesota


Historic Palmer House Hotel and Cafe in Sauk Centre, Minnesota where novelist Sinclair Lewis worked as a night clerk and later used the hotel as the model for the "Minniemashie House" in his 1920 novel Main Street. The brick hotel was built in 1901 by Ralph L. Palmer. There have been claims of paranormal activities in the hotel especially for rooms 11 and 17.
