A flintlock double-barrelled shotgun, William Deakin, Birmingham, circa 1820. Side-by-side Damascus barrels in 16 mm calibre with patent breechblocks and gold bands around the platinum bushed vents. "London" is inlaid in gold on the midrib. Flintlocks have floral engraving and frizzens with rollers. Each lock plate is signed "Deakin". Walnut stock with checkered butt and engraved (somewhat worn) iron furniture. Original ramrod with bullet puller and brass tip. Length: 117 cm.
