Concorde G-BOAD at New York's Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum


G-BOAD first flew in August 1976, and went into service with British Airways in December 1976, This aircraft set the fastest Atlantic crossing by any Concorde on February 7, 1996 flying from New York JFK to London Heathrow in 2 hours, 52 minutes, and 59 seconds. G-BOAD took part in the fly-past of London in June 2003 to celebrate Queen Elizabeth’s 50th Jubilee. G-BOAD completed over 20,000 hours flying, more than any of the other Concorde fleet. Its final departure from Heathrow was in November 2003, and is now housed on Pier 86 in Manhattan, New York.
