A fine cased pair of percussion pistols, Liège, circa 1840. Octagonal, partially fluted, barrels with twelve-groove rifled bores in mm calibre, bearing ELG proof marks on the sides. Snails and tangs engraved with leaf and vine decoration. Adjustable rear sights. Finely engraved locks. Double set triggers. Fine figured walnut stocks with fluted butts. Forearms and sides opposite the locks are carved with vines in relief. Engraved iron furniture, with a "CH" monogram inlaid in gold on the trigger guards. Length of each 41 cm.
