This variety partakes both of the Morello and Duke, wood and fruit; a very early and sure bearer; ripens a week before Early Richmond ; of better quality and quite as productive. Free. May and June. Fruit large, dark red, very rich, tender and sub-acid. A superior variety. Mod. V Gmpress Eugenic. June. yEarly Morello. Brought from Germany to Kansas City with the Ostheimer, by Mr. Sauer. Fruit medium to large ; black when fully ripe ; tender, rich, vinous ; ripens with Early Richmond; bears young, very productive ; best early cherry. English jHorello, Medium to large; blackish red, rich, acid, juicy and good; very productive. Mod. July. Early Kichmond. (Kentish, Virginian or Early May). Medium size, dark red; melting, juicy, sprightly, acid flavor. This is one of the most valuable and popular of the acid cherries, and is unsurpassed for cooking purposes, and is exceedingly productive. Free. First of June. ''Girotte Imperial. A small tree and an early bearer. Foilage better than Richmond. Fruit large, dark red, inclined to conical, flesh and juice red. Flavor pure and free from bitter even when immature. Mild sub-acid when ripe. Late Duke. Large, light red, late and fine. June and July. Late Kentish. Fruit medium, round, deep red when ripe ; ver3'juicj', highly acid; one of the best for culinary purposes. Free. June.
