The display window has been given en- tirely over to this item, showing some fine examples of Boston and Whitmanii. The Woodlawn Flower Shop displayed last week what many believe to be the best examples of War gladioli seen here this season, and moved large quantities of these flawers. Wedding decorations have been heavy last week, and general decorations have been up to the recent average. As has been the case with nearly every shop in town, funeral work has been heavy. A. Moore, of this shop, was away last week on a fishing trip, while E. C. O'Neil has been enjoying a week's vacation also. Martin Eeukauf, with Bayersdorfer & Co., of Philadelphia, called on the local trade last week. He advises that business has been improving in the va- rious cities visited. Felix Rosaia loft the early part of last week for a visit to Yakima, and will return via Portland. He plans to visit all of the larger growing estab- lishments. This shop has had the larg- est showing of mums, comparatively speaking, in the city and a. good share of these have been coming from local growers. At the regular October meeting of the Seattle Florists' Association, George Cooper, of the Richmond Nursery, and O. F. Palmerston, of Yakima, were elected to active membership in the or- ganization. Plans were laid for the formation of a bowling club, which will have plenty of active competition from the Tacoma florists and teams in other nearby cities. Members voted to spend not over 75
