ATLANTIC OCEAN (Jan. 17, 2020) Sailors assigned to USS Gerald R. Ford's (CVN 78) air department, prepare to launch a T-45 Goshawk, assigned to Air Test and Evaluation Squadron (VX) 23, from USS Gerald R. Ford's (CVN 78) flight deck. Ford is currently conducting Aircraft Compatibility Testing to further test its Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch Systems (EMALS) and Advanced Arresting Gear (AAG).
