By his wife,Ann Brown, he had a son, Colonel Charles Arnot, who hada charter under the great seal to him and his spouse, Helen,daughter of James Reid of Pitlithie, of the barony of Arnotand Scotlandwell united, dated July 31, 1643. He died about1670. His father, Sir Michael, appears to have built the Towerof Arnot, Kinross-shire, now in ruins.
