Vaccine research, South Africa. Researchers at the South African Institute for Medical Research (SAIMR) in Johannesburg, South Africa. They are working in Laboratory number 15, part of the vaccine department. SAIMR was founded in 1912 to combat infectious diseases and address public health issues that were affecting the mining industry and the general population in South Africa.
