The pedestrianised Calle Florida runs south-north between Avenida de Mayo and Plaza san Martin in the busy business district of central Buenos Aires. In this view a crowd of pedestrians crosses the wide Diagonal Norte, a north diagonal road leaving Plaza de Mayo out of shot to the left. Over a million people a day walk Florida's. Street performers entertain shoppers in return for a small collection of money and a sale of sample CDs.
