A Ross Bastiaan bronze plaque commemorating the dead Australian soldiers died in a month in their attempt to capture the fortified German position in Mouquet Farm (Moo-Cow Farm). The Battle of Mouquet Farm, which began on 5 August 1916, was part of the Battle of the Somme and followed the Battle of Pozires.
