Exhibited at the Salon of the Louvre in 1783. Signed Houdon F. 1782. In the Victoria and Albert Museum at South Kensington is theBoudoir of this lady, with a wall and ceiling decoration by Rousseaude la Roettiere, and a chimney-piece of grey and white marble, withgilt bronze mouldings, the supporting figures being by Clodion andthe bronzes by Gouthiere. This ensemble was removed from the RueSaint-Louis in Paris. (See Lady Dilkes Furniture and Decorationof the XVIII Century.) Madame de Serilly was condemned todeath by the Revolutionary Tribunal during the Reign of Terror(10th May, 1794) by the same judgment which sentenced Madame Gallery XL.
